Hello and welcome to the blog. Today is one of those self convicting I need to do something about this kinda of days for me! You know where something has been on your mind for many days and it keeps trying to push its way to the front, but with all your skill and might you keep it suppressed…well at least I have tried! Now just so you know, I don’t post anything on this blog about me arriving or thinking I have it all figured out, because the truth of the matter my friends is that I am just a girl on a journey with a Jesus who loves me and has more grace than I will ever be able to comprehend. And it’s not because of who I am, but rather because of who He is!
As I sit here on this Monday morning I am overwhelmed, tired and feeling way too busy.
What to do about this?
What do I want to do about this?
I know from past experience that when I don’t do something, something will be done for me.
What does God want my day planner to look like?
Does He truly want me ‘cramming’ so much into each and every day that my priorities are no longer in sync with my purpose?
What I am doing this morning is looking at day planner, and if you want to join me here are some of the questions we can ask ourselves,
Look at your calendar-too full? No free time? What about spontaneous events, is there room for them?
Is your family-spending time together? Eating together? Supporting each other? Communication? Time to relax and play?
Look at yourself- tired? Sick? Healthy?
“We can’t do 1000 things to the glory of God” We can do a few. (Beth Moore; Esther video)
Maybe we do have too much going on!
Are we always saying yes?
No quality time spent with our families.
Always tired, stressed, and un-healthy.
Life is chaotic.
Are we truly sensing be peace in our lives?
Joshua said to the Israelites, “Come here and listen to the words of the LORD your God. Joshua 3:9
Be still, and know that I am God. Psalm 46:10
…the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things. But only one thing is needed… Luke 10:41-42 (emphasis mine)
What do you think that one thing is?
Friends I am praying this morning and truly seeking that one thing. My Jesus the very one who took time in His schedule to make a relationship with me possible.
What Happens When Women Say No
To over scheduling.
May we be so bold this day to say NO to the things that are not on His agenda.
May we be willing to abandon our agendas, our schedules, our day planners and become apart of His agenda, living in His schedule, and His daily plan!

This really hits home for me... this past weekend I attended a training class of continuing education.
I had no idea what was in store for me. It was packed full from morning till night, for 3 days, of information and practical hands on training. I was so wiped out each night I felt brain dead. However, because of the type of work this was, it was a total emotional release on the last day, Sunday. It was so bad I couldn't continue with the last leg of the class.
I had trapped emotions inside me. This training class was such that it opened the flood gates and flooded me and the environment. It was so strong that it affected the rest of the class as well. I'm still emotional today even. I've experienced the biggest emotional cleansing of a lifetime. I needed this to open myself more to my salvation from Jesus.
I pray that this will create a stronger, closer relationship with Jesus and my husband.
I thank God for providing an outlet, this blog, using you, to vent/share, you choose the verbiage. Anyway you look at it, God is cleansing me! God is using you and your blog to work on me.
I pray that my sharing here will help others who read this.
Amen!
The nice part about being a senior adult I can leave some things for others to do. Now next week will be different. There will be extra people in the house and whether I do anything or not just having them here wipes me out. But I am so thrilled to be having company. My oldest daughter is coming Sunday so that will be a big help.
Most things are done except wrapping presents and finishing up the shopping which my husband does since I don't drive anymore.
My Christmas Blog is up and has a new design, hope you and others will visit at https://www.christmasfromtheheartae.com.
I'm reading this with tears in my eyes; I want to scream NO to everyone; everything, every part of this craziness I'm living.
I'm a wreck right now... can you tell?
These past two weeks have been an emotional roller wreck for me, as God is prodding our hearts (me and husband's) in unrelenting measure. I usually can peg God regarding this type of strong emotion, but right now, I'm not sure how much of my "no" is warranted and how much of it is my "stubborn refusal". Make sense? If not, don't worry. I'm confused myself.
But I love and appreciate you for allowing me to unload.
Prayers please for God's peace for my journey~elaine
This is a great post, especially during the rush of the holiday season. I love those precious moments when life stops and all focus can be on God and His goodness.
Psalm 27:8 (NLT) "My heart has heard you say, 'Come and talk with me; and my heart responds, 'Lord I am coming.'"
Oh to have a heart tender enough to always hear His voice.
Oh Nichole - I love this post! This is a lesson I had to learn the hard way but after cutting back LIKE CRAZY from my schedule, I am so free! Free to focus on what the Lord has called me to focus on. It's always going to be something I have to be careful with - I can't do it all, though I would like to believe I can!
Love you sister!
Saying no is a lesson that I am slowly learning. It is so hard to say no to things we love and want to do but they do not fill the purpose God has called me to. Thank you for sharing.
What a brilliant post! I'm all too aware that I need to make space in my life. This really hit home.

Dear Lord, Help each one of us to keep margin in our day. As we read your Word and spend time with you, may you reveal your perfect will for us. May we not get caught up in the business that surrounds us, but rather, may we truly "seek to find You in our day." Matthew 7:7. Today, dear Lord, may each one of us know you more. Help us not to lose sight, that it is You, we are celebrating. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Hugs and prayer's sweet Nichole!

Oh, it is so hard for me to say No to "good" things which need to be done. I have been one who hears of a need, looks at my calendar and if there's nothing written down - well, my answer MUST be Yes, right? Otherwise I thought I would be considered selfish.
But a very wise friend has helped me to see otherwise. And I know my Very Wise Friend was speaking through her.
I have learned to say No to things, by considering how saying Yes would negatively affect my family. Still working on getting past the guilt feelings of not saying Yes, but God is helping me through them.
And I still want to be a servant, like my Jesus. But I'm realizing He hasn't called me to be God - who can do ALL things. I'm just me. And that's enough.
