Happy Monday to you! Thank you for coming by and visiting the blog. There is such joy in living life with people.
There is one big factor in all relationships. Do you know what it is?
Its the one thing that can truly set the tone of the relationship.
Communication.
How we communicate is very important. I believe we learn to communicate from our environment. Watching our two little guys learn to communicate has been such lesson for me. They are so eager to learn new words, try out words, use sentences, share stories.
Where are they getting these words? How are they learning how to communicate?
Their environment. What makes up their environment?
The people they are around. The books they are reading. The things they are listening too, which include, music and tv.
Our boys are learning to communicate. They are learning how to relate with the people around them.
Our boys are learning to communicate, by listening and speaking.
There was one common purpose for which we were all created.
To be in relationship with our Creator.
For this to be a relationship we need communication. We need to be listening and speaking.
Why does talking with God scare us?
Why are we afraid we don't have the 'right' words to say?
Why do we feel we get it all wrong? Backwards?
Can we learn what to say? Is there a 'right' way to say it?
When we talk to God...we pray.
So how do we do it?
If you have ever felt like its way overwhelming and you just can't get it right, and that you are all backwards...
YARP!!!
Then guess what friends...you are SO not alone. Communication is a super hard thing. But the good news is...Jesus wants to help us.
"Pray continually" 1 Thessalonians 5:17
One thing this girlie is learning is that if He asks us to do something, He will supply all it takes to help us do it!
He loves us so much and wants to be in relationship with us so bad...that He wants to teach us how to communicate with Him.
He wants to turn our
YARP
into
PRAY
Over the next little while lets learn together, how to better communicate with the one who thinks we are most amazing!!
May you know today you are loved...a love that will make you live life on purpose!

Yes! To this post!
Yes! To prayer!
Yes! To being loved!
Nichole, This has been so on my mind lately! Pray continually. I've been thinking a lot about my personal relationships, ya know the girl friend ones that we feel so close with. The ones we can just chat about anything and nothing at all. I know my husband can listen to me chatting away with a friend, and in his mind, he will think, "now they did not talk about anything." That's what girlfriends do sometimes...just chat about all the stuff. The little things and the big things...well, that's why the relationships are so close and dear. It's a sharing back/forth about everything. Communicating. Listening. Sharing. Letting the person know what is on their mind. Passing the feelings back and forth, and interchanging their thoughts to each other. Well, it's a sisterhood, a close friendship that forms out of trust.
And, I'm realizing this more and more this is the kind of relationship our Father is after. Day by day, hour by hour, and moment by moment.
"Pray continually" Like you said, Nichole, He wants us to be in relationship with Him so badly. All we have to do is open our mouth, have a desire on our heart, and He will guide our words.
Amazing!
Yes, indeed our God, our Creator, our Father is A M A Z I N G !!!
Hugs coming your way, sweet sister! This post is God speaking out of your mouth! As I read earlier this morning: "May the LORD smile on you...May the LORD show you his favor and give you his peace" (Numbers 6:25-27).

I love this. Thank You, LORD, for the reminder to communicate more frequently with You. I give You all the praise and glory. In Jesus' name, amen.
You make me chuckle. How grateful I am that God loves us even on the days we're more yarping than praying. :-D
Talking about your little ones made me think of how a parent can understand a childs words before others can. I knew when my son was saying milk when other just could not understand it for more than just baby talk. Isn't that how God understands us. So even when we don't have the "right" words or say it in the right way He knows. He know our hearts desire.
