Void Filler

Thank you Mary for guest writing on Friday! You had us all tuning in to hear the words around us and you challenged us to check our own words.

I believe God created us intentionally with a void in each one of us, a void that can only be filled with The Word of Life.

We live in a world that is full of resources to fill this void. But none of the worlds resources quite fit the void that our Creator designed.

My heart is ready to be used by an amazing God to spread The Word of Life to those around me. There is an urgent need to be God's hands and feet.

so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe as you hold out the word of life—in order that I may boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor for nothing. But even if I am being poured out like a drink offering on the sacrifice and service coming from your faith, I am glad and rejoice with all of you. Philippians 2:15-17 (emphasis added)

May we be uncomfortable with the idea that there are voids out in our world today!

Nichole, I think it is in Psalms that says, "Open my mouth wide and I will fill it." May we all be ready for the filling of God. We must empty ourselves of sin, pride and all of the "fluff" we often are filled with. I pray God will fill me up with Him. Blessings to you today.

Oh, aha...I see the words like a drink offering. This comfirms what God is already speaking to my heart.

Thank you so much for being a voice of Life today to me. And to many.

May the Lord of hosts use your voice to change your world. Today. Tomorrow. Until you return to Him. May you shout His praises and point us to Him.

Thank you, my friend!

There is, indeed, an urgent need to be God's hands & feet; His heart and mouth (speaking truth!) as well.

I love your word choice of "uncomfortable." Too often, we are just fine living in our comfortable Christianity, and forget the need to be a bit uncomfortable.

I totally did not understand that Friday was a "guest" post and wondered how come we hadn't ever heard about YOUR accident before. Eek. I must have been speed reading, though I re-read it a few times to be sure I had it right and wondering about the details of your recovery. So glad you cleared that up today for your s-l-o-w-e-r readers!!

Thank-God he is the filler of all voids...It truly is a great feeling when we come before God a broken vessel, the Potter wets his hands and fixes the cracks and fills us full of Spirit...
Amazing Love...Amazing Grace
Thanks, Nin, I used your post this morning to speak to one who's life is experiencing God for the first time and is seeking, asking questions on how to change the pain to joy..

Before knowing God we often times try to fill the void with other things, relationships, money, addictions. Thankfully this void can only be filled by God. I've heard it also discribed as a hole in our hearts, a God shaped hole, that only He can fill.

His Word never changes and will continue for eternity. Thank you for continually spreading the "Word of Life" to all of us. Reminding us to shine like the stars to others who are seeking His light and promises of life.

I prayed about this idea with my bell choir last night, though I didn't understand why. Spirit-led prayer saw me saying things that I don't usually say--isn't that great!? So, God purpose is clear for these days ahead.

And, sometimes I feel like I say things that go completely unnoticed or unresponded to, but that is not the point. Like Paul, I need to rejoice regardless, because heavenly work doesn't always produce earthly (i.e., immediate) results.

I need to trust that the Spirit will fill any voids I may have for confirmation of doing the right thing. Nice Scripture focus today, Nichole, and I hope your talk was successful!
