Friday Challenge

Hello! We haven't had a Friday Challenge for awhile and I am needing one today!

I strongly believe in supporting other people by listening to them, encouraging them, and loving on them. But because I am human I can get in the rut of thinking 'what about me?' and dwell for a minute too long on thinking about me and whats going on in my life and get off balance.

Friday Challenge: Write a handwritten note, care or letter to someone encouraging them and loving on them, and mail it to them. Yes put the stamp up in the right hand corner and send it off to them!

We all have someone in our lives that needs this note today!

Have a great weekend!

Come back and join us next week as we transition from our relationship with God into our relationships with others!

LOVE this challenge! You are so right...when I am getting all "hey, what about me?" that is a sure sign I need to be ministering to someone else!

Love you! Have a fabulous Mother's Day you fabulous mom, you! :)

I just did something like that earlier this week. Will that count? (If I can get my husband to mail it.) That's a problem for any mail I do. I have a high school/church friend who lives in Alabama and has a very bad back so I send her books to read. I just did that this week and included a phamplet with a message that I wrote inside of it. She is a very special person and I told her so. It's not often friendships from your younger years continue especially when they move so far away.

A wonderful idea and hope you have a great weekend.

PS You are a very special person also and I'm so glad to be a part of your study.

Oh, I really need to do this. When I served as Director at my preschool for 2 years, my Asst. Director was a dream come true. She and I worked very well together. Even if we disagreed on some point, we were okay with each other. (She's my friend that brought me chocolate chip cookies last Saturday.) She has remained as the Asst. Director but has had a hard year as she and the new Director have differing work styles.

I bought a card a few months ago to send to her and then never did. It just really states how I feel about her. I think I need to get off my tushy and send it!

Thank you for this challenge! Happy Mother's Day!

"let us encourage one another-and all the more as you see the Day approaching." Hebrews 10:25 (NIV)

This is a great idea...would you believe I just happened to hand-deliver some notes to my son's teacher's (it's Teacher Appreciation Week, here in AZ)...but, those don't count cuz I did not put a stamp on them! :) I've got a special friend in mind...so I'll do it!

Remember girls...
God first...
others...next...
Me...last...

Happy Mother's Day Nichole!
Thank you for the encouraging gift you give all of us...your blog!

Great idea! I think I'd send mine tomorrow. Mail already came today.

Thanks for your encouragement and challenge. GREAT and practical.

Well, I did that today; even before your prompt. I even made the card, which is way out of my gifting cluster! But I just kept thinking about how much it will mean to the person on the receiving end. I love getting a personal, handwritten note in the mail.

Thanks for allowing your life to make a difference in the life of the "one." Such is the way of a Jesus heart.

In Bible study today, we talked about what we can do when we can be "there" to be a servant for someone. Cards and notes definitely topped the list (along with food and prayer!).

And, it's true....the sending can actually be the hardest part! I've had a card for someone since Monday and it's still sitting on the counter, waiting to be mailed. (I think I need the "forever" pre-stamped envelope....)

Thanks for delving into the Scriptures this week! Hope this find you well, my friend....

And now I read that stamps are going up again on Monday!!!

Encouragement is priceless, however....Where's that card!?
