So Excited!!!

Welcome Friends, Family, and Guests!!! I am so excited you are here today visiting the blog. Now I know its hard to actually feel excitement through a computer screen and since I have never proclaimed to be a writer...it might be difficult for me to actually share in written words my excitement.

I have been thinking and praying about where God wanted to go next on the blog. And He answered...woo-hoo! The whole asking and answering thing is so cool! I think its the answering part that's my favorite...because He reveals so much in His answer that it usually takes my breath away.

So today I am so excited to reveal to you what He has revealed to me!!

It all started this morning...yep in the shower! And just that alone excites me...He is a God who will meet us wherever and whenever!! I am taking my shower and I hear Him say:

"The journey isn't over. The experience isn't over. There is more to do!"

Have you ever heard something and think, 'what in the world does this mean?'

So I ask just that!

"God what does this mean for me? For the blog? For what You have called me to do?"

"Share the journey. Participate with them. Ask what they need"

I finish up my shower and then come over and sit up on my bed and grab my Bible. According to my Bible Reading Plan I am reading 1 Peter 5 today. So I begin to read...and that's when felt the excitement start to rush! I literally had a hard time sitting still on my bed..and had to remind myself to keep reading and with each word my heart is beating faster!

Here is what I read this morning, I will highlight some of the words that spoke to my heart, and I promise to try and explain the excitement and share the excitement with you!

To the elders among you, I appeal as a fellow elder, a witness of Christ's sufferings and one who also will share in the glory to be revealed: Be shepherds of God's flock that is under your care, serving as overseers—not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not greedy for money, but eager to serve; not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock. And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away.
Young men, in the same way be submissive to those who are older. All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, "God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble."Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings. And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. To him be the power for ever and ever. Amen.
1 Peter 5:1-11

This blog has always been for God to do with as He needs to! And when I came to Him a few weeks ago and asked Him where He wanted to go next...He answered this morning!

THE REVEAL:

He has asked me to humbly serve, to learn with you...which excites me to no end. I LOVE to see God work! He has asked me to ask you...

"Where are you at in your journey?"

"What questions do you have that you want answers to?"

"What do you want to learn about?"

God cares deeply about us! He wants us to do this thing together. I am so excited to open this blog to the next steps in our journey...our journey for Living on Purpose! To live on purpose we need to know our purpose and understand our purpose.

This is where you come in! Please leave a comment on what you need, or would like to learn about. Please leave comments anonymously...I don't need to know who needs what! I am praying for you and knowing that God has great things for us. He desires for us to know our purpose and live our lives on purpose!

If you have friends or family members that could benefit from this journey please invite them!!

I will leave this up for a few days and give people an opportunity to respond.

I look forward to the next reveal: What we will be studying together!!

**Feel free to email me if that is more comfortable for you**

Nichole,
I absolutely love this idea God gave you! I love how you give God the Glory...you asked Him...He revealed an answer to your request! He's so awesome! He often times speaks to me in the shower too! I love that! Sometimes, too, when I'm blow-drying my hair!

I'll ponder on your question and get back to you! :)

Nichole, this is so powerful! I just left Carol's blog--Sheep to the Right, and I hear the same Word again in yours! I love how God does indeed reveal Himself to us! Thank you!

I would love for you to pray for me that I will see how He wants to use me in speaking--in Bible Studies or whatever He chooses! Also, read my post today when you have time and see the other question that I am praying and pondering over in leading the high school girls Bible Study!

Love you!!
Susan

This is exciting isn't it!! I know how I feel when he chats with me as well. You know I just was reading another one of my friends blog and she has been 1 peter as well. I just noticed that runner mom's friend is having the same.
So sounds like confirmation!

Pray that the world will here our messages and that we can bring more people to Christ. Amen!

Great Post my friend, I pray that you are feeling better as well.
Have a Beautiful and Blessed day! :)

Nichole, this is great. I love how God directs when we're obedient to Him.

I never really question God. I don't feel a need to. I trust him completely. I ask for direction and prayer with all that implies.

I'm so happy for you that you've received an answer to prayer! A lot of times God talks to me while I'm drying my hair! Maybe that's because the hair dryer drowns out the sounds of my family!

I just finished writing a post for tomorrow where you'll see that I'm seeking answers from God regarding my next move as well. I've been working in a particular ministry for 6 years now and feel it may be time to move on.

Blessings to you!

Wow! I'm not a writer nor speaker. I did a card ministry for about 6 years and I've used my cards for posting as the Lord led me. I still have some left but not a lot and I too am asking what God wants me to do. Please pray that I will be able to hear that still small voice that so many people talk about. I feel things in my heart and sometimes (when I did the card ministry) I would wake up with words running through my mind. Sometimes they were songs or poems that I had seen and when I did my research I always found just what I felt God wanted me to use. I'm getting the feeling that people may be tired of the kind of things I've used on my blog but that could be the enemy trying to discourage me. I refuse to let him do that. I don't want my blog to be about what I put there but I want people to see God in what is there. I hope I'm making sense. If you see my latest post maybe you can understand what I'm trying to do, "Just a Closer Walk With Him".

God bless you on your journey and I look forward to learning from what God is speaking to you.

You are in my prayers for your return to good health.
Blessings,
AliceE.

I'm always willing to learn more about GOD! Focusing on Him and not on me is so amazingly healing. I lived most of my life, thinking and feeling sorry for me. Wanting my way. Self pity. Shame. Just a mess. Thank you, I'm not where I once was. I am on my way, HIS way.

Questions for you:

What does GOD want you to share with us? Where is your heartbeat right now? What is He teaching you? What are your struggles? Joys? And how can we relate to you and then find God's answer in the process?

Love that He stirs our passions like He did for you! Go where HE sends you. Without looking to the right or left. Walk, my friend. He's got your hand.

Love,
Tiffany

Is this really annonymous?

I need so many answers.

50 and been a Christian a very long time and I still feel like I can't hear God and have no clear cut direction in my live.

Sort of useless at this point:(

To Anonymous who is feeling "sort of useless at this point", please don't give up on God or yourself! He truly loves you but does things in His own timing. Waiting on Him is hard for all of us but is so worth it! You are in this world for a reason, and God will reveal your purpose! Praying for you!

Dear Anonymous,

To answer your first question...yes its anonymous to me and to all the others reading these comments...but its NOT anonymous to the One...the One who can see your heart. I pray tonight that He truly showers down His love for you. That He shows you in ways that are specific and very personal to you...just how much He loves you. Why do I pray that? Oh friend..because I know my God will answer! He created you, He thinks you are amazing and worth everything. You are worth sending His Son to die on the cross. He desires to be in an intimate relationship with you. Why? Because thats your purpose. Thats it right there the very reason you were created...to be in relationship with Him!!! I am praying for you tonight and will continue to do so. I am praying His word over your life. Knowing that He will reveal Himself to you. Why? Because His word says...ask and it will be given to you!

Dear Heavenly Father go and meet with your child tonight. Go sit hold your child tonight. Whisper to their heart...and love all over them. Thank You Father for being a God who creates beautiful and amazing people in Your image. I love You Lord-Amen

My heart has been really burdened for people close to me for healing.
1.A sister who has been taking medicine to cure a life threatening decease and the insurance company told her she can no longer have the medicine after 4 wks unless she pays close to $1000.00 per month co-pay, and the medicine was showing results, she was so broken last night. I prayed with her for God to just hold her. Oh how do you console those who don't NO?
2. A daughter with health issues?
3. A daughter spiritual hurting?
4. Grandchild living in turmoil?
5. Marriages..
6. Friends confused?
7. Parents aging?
8. For Jesus to Shine for all to see and receive
Most of all pray I am HIS hands and feet; that he molds me. That the Potter wets his hands and makes all the cracks turn into the image of a beautiful Vase he intended me to be. That I can hold a beautiful bouquet of flowers, with out wilting from the leaking water, that others will see his Glory, and want HIM.

Nichole,
Thank you for bringing us along on this journey. Thank you for your prayers to God on our behalf.

I am training to be a leader in a Bible study program. I am willing and desire to serve where ever God calls. Pray for me as I wait, (I will train through May and the need will not be revealed until we know how many women we will be serving) Pray that as I wait, may I be patient, knowing God will place me where I am fit to best serve. Pray that I will soak up wisdom and knowledge first from His Word and then from the amazing women who are serving along side me.

Nichole,
I have a question for you, sweet sister! I'm doing the Chronological Bible Study this year and am loving every minute of it...Before, I was never aware that this Bible even existed. Now tho when I bring it up to people...many have heard about it, so I know it's not a "new" thing. I'm wondering how it came about? Do you have any idea?

We read today about David hiding out in the cave...then, a few of his beautiful Psalms were interwoven through this section of I Sam. I love it!

If you know how they came up with the Chronological Bible, I'd love an answer.
