Just one of the reasons

The setting:

We are sitting at the table eating dessert, laughing, having fun, and enjoying each other as a family.

The comment:

Husband states: "I just realized how often this family gets brownies. Once every month!"

The reaction:

I love this man, he gets me!

Thanks for visiting the Patterson 5! I've enjoyed exploring your blog and reading and learning from the adventure God has you on, with your family! I especially enjoyed your prayers and words of wisdom on a post you did on marriage. Nurturing marriage is a passion my husband and I both share. For our family and others.

I have also enjoyed reading about your boys (they are two years apart just like mine). I also chuckled over your engineering comment on your hammock post. My husband is also an engineer and sometimes, well, they just think about things in a whole different way!

Many blessings to you and to your ministry. Your blog exudes the love Christ has for us! He is shining through you!

Last night a friend gave me some gourmet chocolate that she makes. This evening my husband and 19 year-old son and I were splitting some. They were just eating like normal humans, and I was "mmm-ing" and "ahhh-ing." They just looked at me. I said, "Women have the capacity enjoy chocolate at a whole 'nother level from guys." They agreed. Sometimes, nothing else will do--about once a month! ~ Also, thanks for commenting today at my site despite the fact that i messed up the date for the study. Ugh. I really appreciated it.

Wow....I'm feeling really dumb here because I didn't get what you were saying until the "comments" section! And it's not that you didn't express yourself well.

For some of us, brownies aren't it. It's more like, "Why's the Tylenol out; are you sick?" (LOL!)

And here I was thinking that this is why your family was so happy, and maybe you needed to make more brownies! (No more brownies, please!!)

The J Girls just bought triple fudge brownie mix at the warehouse store last night, so there are brownies in my future.
