See Beyond

I have so enjoyed a new little something in my life lately...Facebook! Yep thats right...but for some most amazing reasons...for connecting with some friends that I haven't seen in years...friends I made in my childhood, went to school with , and even friends that I don't get to live next door to!

Recently I had the huge privilege of connecting with a friend who takes the most amazing pictures. I have the honor of showcasing them here today...please enjoy!

Now for some these will be just pictures. And for some Facebook is just a 'new trendy' way to spend time on the computer.

Can I ask a huge favor of you today?

Will you join me for a few minutes and See Beyond?

As I read this morning from the most amazing Book that was ever published I found myself in Hebrews 11.

"Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see" Hebrews 11:1

That verse right there is where this whole See Beyond thing started!

I know you are starting to wonder 'how in the world does this all relate?'

"So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:18

Today I have been encouraged to See Beyond

To see beyond myself.

To see beyond a 'new trendy' Facebook thing.

To see beyond issues, stresses, circumstances.

To see beyond the temporary.

To see beyond this world.

I am encouraged to See Beyond what sits right in front of me and praise Him and know there is a bigger picture, there is MORE, there is purpose!

And when I choose to See Beyond

I get to see others around me.

I get to meet up with some really great friends on Facebook and enjoy their art work of taking pictures of this most amazing Hand Crafted world.

"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth"Genesis 1:1

I get to practice living life on purpose in the midst of issues, stresses and circumstances.

"For 'she' was looking forward to the city with foundations, whose architect and builder is God" Hebrews 11:10 (emphasis mine)

I get to see Him!

Thank You Jesus for filling us with the desire to see beyond. For there is something there, something worth seeing!

May we truly not look at anything the same again, but rather, See beyond!

Well, I'm all about "seeing beyond" and since I have no idea what you're talking about, I'll head over and check it out... there is a link isn't there?

Glad you're enjoying facebook. I rarely get there consistently but have enjoyed some reconnects.

OK... I'm a dope; I thought it was a group doing something on this very topic. Maybe this would be a great idea for a series you could do here...

When that bigger picture is revealed--whether we are seeking it ourselves or He provides it for us when we're not seeking it--our entire outlook on life changes. Karen Carpenter sang, "There is wonder in most everything I see...."

We can look at stuff or we can try to see things through the eyes of the One who made them, who brings them together in a special way. And, most of the time, that means being still.

Yes, LORD. I ask that You open my eyes and my heart to see beyond. Praise YOU. In Jesus' name, amen.

It's like that expression, "we can't see the forest for the trees". So often we need to see beyond our now to His not yet, beyond our temporary to His eternal.

Maybe the first thing I need to see beyond is myself. Eyes off me and onto the Author and Perfecter of my faith.

Great post Nichole.
Love & prayers,
Joy

Someone ask me last night if I had every gone to Facebook and I said no, just did not feel like I should, but you've got my curosity up so I was go to See Beyond. The pictures are beautiful.

I noticed the photographer name is John Anderson. I have a second cousin by that name but I doubt it is the same person. What a coincidence.

Even though a couple weeks have past since my post on "It's Not About Seeing", I'm still amazed that God hits me with Heb. 11:1 again. And do you know it's been in the last two weeks that I've been doubting, been struggling, been wondering, been focusing on the not seen, been not sure. Thank You, Jesus. I'm trying, Lord.

Thanks, Nichole. I encourage you to read that if you've not yet.

Oh Nichole, He so revealed something about this to me on my walk this morning: seeing beyond...God, El Roi, sees EVERYTHING. He can see our tomorrows. There is something that I've been praying for,for a year, daily. Well, I'm about ready to find out the results here over the next couple of days, and this morning He whispered to me, I even see in the future. My ways are better than you would ever expect. He showed me how many times He answer prayers based on the future! Not necessary because of "the moment." The bottom line is that He knows what is best for us...He created us. He has cared for us since birth. He picked US out to be His own, His chosen ones. This just about lifted me off of my feet. Know matter what the outcome is, I'm fine because He knows what is best in this situation. Praise you Father for whispering to me this morning.

May we seek Him with all of our heart...may we see beyond ourselves today and have eyes to see what He wants us to see.

Love you my precious friend!

Oh, yes, my friend!
I am yearning to see beyond the struggle today. Not to miss out on today, mind you, rather to trust that today - this very moment - is about so much more than the struggle.
Jesus is with me in this moment, and He is doing a wonderful thing!

Surrender, Obedience, To See Beyond.
What a place to be.
I sit today unable to do any of those yet the desire to be there is so great.
Tears held behind my eyes could fill that beautiful lake yet they remain sequestered in 'pride'.
Life has been hard these past few years and difficulty looms large in the days ahead.
Exhausted, lonely, depressed.
Why bother moving forward?
Longing to be wrapped in a father's love ~ unable to stop long enough ~ unable to be vulnerable.
Empty.
To See Beyond.
To Hope.
Perseverance.
Lost.
To See Beyond ~ grasping ~ reaching ~ praying ~ believing for answers and an end to the pain ~
Letting Go ~ Attempting
Trusting.
Thankful.

Thank you for stopping by my blog last week and leaving sweet words of encouragement and prayer for Lauren and me as we prepare for her surgery. As the weeks pass until December 28th, I will rest in the prayers and verses left on my blog....trusting God for them. It meant so much that you took time to stop by...Thank you again.

The pictures are BEAUTIFUL!!! Thanks for sharing them and for the post you wrote...profound words of TRUTH.

Thankful for you today,

Wendy
