Friday Challenge

Hello! Thanks for visiting the blog!

We haven't had a Friday Challenge for a super long time...I checked and the last one was back in May of 2009...yikes!

I don't know about what life is like for you right now, or how hard your week has been, or the storms that are going on all around you.

But I do know that our brothers and sisters in Haiti have been hit very hard.

Friday Challenge will you take a few minutes today and pray for the people of Haiti? The people who are working to save lives? The military men and women who are there?

Friends there is power in prayer.

May we know that He is there. He will provide healing, restoration and renewal.

Dear Heavenly Father, we lift up the people of Haiti to You. Oh Father I can't imagine the pain, misery, and devastation. Please provide comfort, healing, and provision. Grant wisdom to the rescue workers to find anyone still trapped in the rubble. Bring supplies and medical personnel to quickly provide the help needed. Please place Your hand of protection over the survivors. Help them, even in the midst of their pain, to know that You care.

Yes. I absolutely will!

Father in heaven, I know You see. I know You know the pain and devestation in Haiti right now. And I know You care.
Thank You, Father for Your compassion and love for the men, women, and children in Haiti. I am asking You in this moment to comfort their hurting hearts, and to bring peace in the midst of chaos. Yes, please use the rescue workers for life. Please use them to bring restoration and hope. Please use their hands and arms to comfort and care for those who are feeling hopeless right now.
Father, I know this circumstance is not too much for You to handle. And I praise You!
Please use this circumstance for Your glory - that the nations may know that You are the LORD.
I'm asking it in the wonderful, powerful, beautiful, matchless Name of JESUS.
Amen and amen!

Yes, I agree with the prayers that have already been written for Haiti. Father, you know exactly where everyone is that no one else can find. Would you guide the workers to the places where the people are that need to be rescued as well as those who have not made it. We give you all the praise, honor and glory for all the people you have sent to help these who are so devastated. Let them hear the gospel of Jesus and may the world know that you are still in control of this universe.
Amen.

Good friend and fellow blogger just announced our church's next trip to Haiti for April. I'm not sure what the plan is any more, although I'm sure many would want to go.

Our Christian school at church had a bake sale today, with all proceeds going toward that effort. I'm sure we'll be seeking lots of efforts, big and small about this.

If you've ever spoken with someone who has been to Haiti, they will tell you of how gracious the people are; their hearts are full of joy. They have been through so very much, yet they continue to come back. And God's people continue to answer the call to help and to minister to them spiritually.

Prayers for God to break down the logistical and political barriers, that aid will flow freely. And may the Lord work mightily in those people who call Him by name, that He will raise them up and help them restore their country to wholeness.

Joining you in prayer too for the people of Hatti. May your glory still shine in the midst of all this destruction and pain, dear Lord. We trust that you alone have a plan in mind that will allow your kingdom to be furthered. May your will be accomplished, even in this situation.
Praying, Lori
