Spirit Hands!

I will share with you today what I have been enjoying so much lately…being a cheerleader. Okay for those of you who know me or know me from my "past" you are not shocked about this one bit. Yes I do have the natural tendency to be loud, excited, clap happy and sometimes have even been known to break out the "spirit hands".

So who am I waving the pom-poms for? My awesome husband who is a check ride away from being a pilot! Woo-hoo!

Current stats: 40.2 hours of flight time and 101 landings

My husband has had a dream in his heart that was planted there from a very early age by His Creator, to fly airplanes. My husband was wired or put together just like every man should be (good job on this one God!) and that he dreams big and always has an adventure in his heart. I had the privilege of joining in his life when we married knowing that becoming a pilot was on his radar screen. For many years we talked about how to make it come to be. We talked about the time needed, the resources such as money, an instructor, an airplane.

I watched him over the years and I admired him so much for dreaming and tuning into the passion and desire of his heart.

It seemed that this passion and desire would stay a little longer inside his heart. Never once did he complain, whine, or show any sign of disappointment in having to wait.

Out of my husband’s obedience and waiting for God’s timing, he recently has been blessed with the awesome gift of a pilot’s license. What was once a dream in his heart, is now a reality that he is living out.

I am so proud of his commitment and I respect him for his obedience and his patience.

And if there is such a thing as cheerleaders for pilot’s…

Go Babe! Fly like a bird!

I love you!

That's awesome! Is he looking to fly commercially or just for fun or what? I love it when I hear "success" stories like this - it's just confirmation to me that when God calls you to something in your heart, He is faithful to make it happen in your life.

Congrats!

Congrats!
That is a major feat!

Thank you so much for praying for my friend today. She was moved from the trauma unit and is out of the woods but has a long road to recovery. So continue to keep her in your prayers.

It is because God draws people like you to pray for people like me that makes me want to shout praises to Him. Go God!

WOW, What an accomplishment!!! You should be proud. And I'm sure that every pilot needs a cheerleader...keep up the good work.
