Great pst today - this subject touches so many. I had my first mammogram last year and it didn't hurt, ladies. Repeat, DID NOT HURT. Compared to giving birth it was nothing!

So no excuses.

I was praying and God is so amazing. I was lifting up prayers for women every where, those we have known, those we know, and those we don't know. God said think of the power of pink. What??? I closed my eyes so ever tighter, visioned my daughters at birth wrapped in soft, tender, innocent pink; what a loving feeling God revealed threw the color pink. Innocence of a new born baby.
Soft, silent beauty.
The aroma of a delicate pink rose, the feeling of kindness, tenderness, joy, that pink feeling of softly knowing Jesus loves Me.. I love your inspiration today, it made me realize I'm his princess in pink...

I saw this on the new's!! great post. I am one of those baddddddddddd women that have not gone to have this done, not that I am worried if it hurts, Just plain scared they will say something is wrong. Maybe I will schedule something before the end of the year. I check myself but I have not found anything. I know I am badddd! I will check out that site. Thanks for the reminder. :)
Blessings
Sharon

Hi Nicole,
Ok ladies you need to get this done!
I am 46 and have had several and last year they did find something. Had an ultrasound done and am one of the fortunante that it was a fibrous tumor...nothing to worry about. As I lay on that gurney waiting for the doctor to look at the ultra sound I started praying for every woman who has to lay on that gurney wondering like me. My aunt died of breast cancer...So get it done.

And while you are laying there remwmber He will be with you He will see you through.
Just personalize Isaiah 43

When I go through the squeeze of a mammogram He will be with me. For I am precious to Him.

I gave Cindy a "Hi there!" and my mammogram is coming up Tuesday. I had to have an ultrasound after my mammogram last year, though they didn't find anything but dense tissue--they said I was a candidate for a digital mammogram.

Now, only a year later, I told them I needed a digital exam and they said, they're ALL digital, ma'am.

So, the technology is out there, and I find that the care from the staff has really improved a great deal. All of this awareness is truly making changes in how we deal with these issues.

Prayer, of course!

Well, because I have breast cancer in my family and I have fibrocystic breast disease, I already have my mammo scheduled (Dec 5).

I was just at Cindy's blog ~ I check in on her everyday.

Thanks for the reminders

Thank you for the very important reminder.

It is easy and doesn't hurt. AND, as if they do find something...DON"T AUTOMATICALLY FREAK OUT. The same thing that happened to pinkshoelady, happened to me, and like her, it was fine.

I lost a close friend and neighbor 2 years ago to breast cancer. She was in her early 40's, so DON'T put off your mammograms. It can happen to anyone.

Also, a good idea to support the cause. Every year my neighbors and I exchange small Christmas gifts. Just small tokens or homemade goodies. We don't spend much. Every year I give something like a pen, notepad, or Christmas ornament that was bought from a company that gives all the profits to breast cancer research. (check out that all or most of the profits do go to research before you purchase. Some places only send 15%)

Anyway, thanks for the reminder.
