Friday Challenge

Hello and welcome to the blog. I am so glad you are here today!

Do we truly get what He did for us? Do we understand what Grace is? Do we know how it works? Are we allowing it to change us? Are we passing it on?

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God. Ephesians 2:8

We have to BELIEVE God loved us so much that He gave everyone of us, not just a selected few, but everyone, His gift, His one and only Son, the FREE gift of Grace! And with acceptance of this gift our sins are forgiven.

For I am the least of the apostles and do not even deserve to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them-yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me. 1 Corinthians 15:9,10

None of us deserve it and we can't earn it. We just accept it and then let His grace change us. Change us into His image, the image He created us to be.

You are the most excellent of men and your lips have been anointed with grace, since God has blessed you forever. Psalm 45:2

Once we accept this gift of grace for ourselves, then we need to pass it on!

Are are we living like we are annointed with Grace? Are we running people through a "screening" process to see if they deserve our grace? If they deserve God's grace?

His gift of Grace was for everyone!

May we accept our gift of Grace today and then gift those around us.

Recently the Lord has changed my language regarding my attitude, positioning toward Him. "Assume." I used to (and probably still do) assume God's disappointment with, assume my inadequacy. Today I'm more and more rightly assuming His pleasure on me, His love for me, His love IN me (and available continually), assuming my adequacy, etc. It/He is making a difference I didn't even see I needed. I assume His blessings rather than hoping faintly after them. Glory to Him!!

Hello my greatly loved friend,

Thanks for the reminder that I have God's grace richly bestowed upon me. When we truly live in grace, it bubbles out and gets on everyone we meet.

The family and I are leaving in a few hours for a quickly overnight trip up in the mountains of Crown King, AZ. My school friend, Christine, owns a cabin up there and invited us up. Pray that the grace of God in the Merrill family will splash all over Christine and her kids. They have had a rough break with many things going wrong. This is my friend who lost her 40 year old husband to a heart attack a year and a half ago.

Have a great weekend sweet friend. God's grace be with you, on you, and bubbling out of you. Lee

I am in awe of the gift of His Unmerrited Favor. It is only by His Grace that I can have a right view of myself and of others. Good words Nichole.

Nichole, I read your post. I spoke with you this morning. I prayed. I thought about and talked to God about Grace. Sometimes I have a hard time defining my heart, my God, But as we (God and I) were going back and forth he reminded He chose the nails. Not One but Three. His Grace is represented in those three nails, not for me, myself and I. That would of only took one nail. How wrong when we forget The Son was sent and took three nails, for me, you and them. My prayer today is that I never forget the Grace God Gave Me was sent for EVERYBODY. May we come humbly to the cross and see His GRACE is for all. Love you tons for when we share our thoughts God shows us just how blessed we are. May we never take for granted the true meaning of Grace, accept it share it and truly put our faith is His Grace because it is How God shows us his amazing Love, How he teaches us to live like and for Him.

Wonderful post, Nichole! I especially love the scripture..."You are the most excellent of men and your lips have been anointed with grace, since God has blessed you forever." Psalm 45:2 Wow! He has annointed my lips with grace. Do I lavish that grace on others--family, friends, strangers? I want to hide that one in my heart so that I can.

Thank you, sweet girl!
Love ya,
Susan

Powerful post. It sometimes is a downfall of mine to look at others lives in judgement instead of love. They too are God's beloved and it may be me that could show them just how much. Thank you for this reminder that we are called to extend this grace to all. I pray God will allow me to see others through His eyes so that I might reach out and be His hands welcoming them into the family of faith. Your Friday challenges are a highlight! Thanks for praying about them! You give us the challenge we need to hear.

I so often struggle with accepting grace myself. But it comes down to do I believe His Word or not? If I say I do, then I have to believe that unconditional, awesome love really is for this sinful heart, too. He is just so awesome and too wonderful to even begin to grasp. And I am so glad I am His!

Have a fantastic weekend!

Hi Mrs. On Purpose,
It's Zoie.
I'd like to tell you how I was changed, and saved by his grace.
It all started, when I was 4 years old. My daddy and mommy was talking about God. They told me every night, that God loved me. Long story short, My mommy, daddy, and I went to church at the church we are at now. I made my decision to follow Christ. So, that morning we were going to talk to the pastor about baptizing me. Thing was the pastor had a soar back, so my dad had to do it. He baptized me one Sunday night. (I almost baptized him with me) I wanted Jesus to be the boss of my life, the boss of my heart and the boss of my soul. He is!

If you e-mail my mom she will tell you how I got my name. It is a cool story. We might even send you a picture too.

Love Zoie
