Friday Challenge

Hello! Welcome...I am so glad you stopped by...if there is one thing I love sharing with people its Jesus! He has brought laughter to me this week. Can I share a little with ya?

There was laughter Sunday morning when the pastor announced from the pulpit he had E.D. which started my husband and the youth pastor next to him to laugh so hard the pew was shaking, the pastor went on to explain what the letters stood for, Enormous Disappointment which he tied in beautifully to his sermon...which might have been lost on a few of us! The one thing I did get out of it was that his E.D. was not the same thing that they so freely talk about on tv and have a pill for!

Laughter continued into the week when the boys so freely shared their new talent of rhyming words and sharing silly songs and stories. They just light up and keep going when they see that their momma can't stop giggling.

I believe that laughter heals us.

The challenge today:

Laugh

I know life can be overwhelming, stressful, and too much. But I believe He wants us to heal. Healing comes in many forms.

I have included part of a video clip from I Walked on the Moon by Brian Regan. My husband and I watched this together on Monday. We had a great time laughing!

That was too funny...Wishing we all would stop and see the humor in our lives....I know God has tons of ways to show us his love, and one is laughter. I almost wish I had a pop tart....Not to eat(yuck) just to read the RULES.Have a Happy Day.
Love, Hugs, Prayers and tons of Smiles...

Oh I love to laugh and to hear others laughing (especially children!) The Pop Tart spoof was so funny! I had to grab our box to see if there truly are directions.... and there are!
Have a wonderful, fun filled, laughter filled day!

I admit to having trouble with horizontal and vertical....trying to reduce pictures to send on an E-mail (640x480....which way is that??)

I hadn't felt like laughing today, but it's the goofy stuff like a Pop Tart that will do it to you every time.

Years ago, when my grandfather passed away, my sister and I were in our room, just quiet as can be about the whole thing. She tossed over the ugly green plastic frog....we just broke up hysterical! There was so much tension and so much sadness.

Yes, how good is God that He gives us humor to help us reconnect again.

"A cheerful heart is good medicine" (Proverbs 17:22)

If God said it, it must be so! Great topic to begin the weekend. I know that laughter has brought much healing to my heart.

One time when I was quite down, I decided to read a book that I thought would give me some good serious encouragement. It was "God Uses Cracked Pots" by Patsy Clairmont. From the first paragraph and throughout the entire book I was laughing hysterically! So much so that I almost choked on a mini marshmallow. I realized that God knew what I needed was laughter and lots of it.

Loved the video! LOL!!

I give! I did it! I laughed! :) My family may worry about me if I now break out in laughter as I use our toaster. :)

This is a great reminder and a great challenge. It always feels so good to laugh. That is one of my favorite things about my hubbie...he is so good at making me laugh!

Blessings, friend! I hope you have a fantastic weekend!
Love,
K

How fun to pop in and answer your question about my MOPS laugh talk and see this post! Laughter is healing, no doubt.

I think my talk went well. I enjoyed sharing. I was able to be ME. Moms laughed more than I expected. I didn't stay afterwards to chat because my parents were in town. So I missed the connection I would've loved to have made. I said my thanks on the way out and moms responded with a sweet thank you!

The rest is in God's hands. I did my part! I give this talk a couple more times this year.

Thank you for caring. And thank you for confirming laughter is a worthy cause to fight for. I'm in!

I love to laugh too! think I would have had trouble controlling a giggle or two all through church if my hubby had said that-all I would see would be smilin' Bob.
;o}-I hate those stupid commercials.
Hope you have a great weekend!

Very funny! I love to laugh, especially with my husband. He's got the best laugh in the world, and we both share the same warped sense of humor.

I love to laugh - hahahaha - loud and long and clear - I love to laugh, it's getting worse every year. (Mary Poppins).

Laughter is good for the soul - and I love a pastor who can make us laugh from the pulpit.
