A Gift that just might possibly have an agenda!?!

Hello friends and family.  Thank you SO much for the huge honor and blessing to get to pray with you and for you.  I know God...and He will answer!

So some of you might recall I had the awesome privilege of facilitating the Women's Bible study at my church through Becoming More Than a Good Bible Study Girl. And what an honor and privilege that was.  You see when I read that book the first time I fell in love even MORE with my Jesus...and if there is one purpose I have on this earth..it's to share that Jesus with all I come in contact with.  And this book was a great resource at doing just that.  Well over the weeks of facilitating the Bible study I had shared some of my personal struggles, and issues with my obsessions, addictions, indulgences...or whatever they may be called with both chocolate brownies and shoes!  And at the end of the study one of the women comes up and hands me a wrapped gift and card.  She presented it to me with a verbal, 'thank you'.  It wasn't until later when I was driving in the car and stopped at a light with my 4 year old  'demanded' or requested that I open the gift...a wrapped gift and a little 4 year old curious mind don't stay in the same arena very long!  So I tore open the gift...and here is what greeted me...

Joyce Meyers new book, Eat the Cookie...buy the shoes. Giving Yourself Permission to Lighten Up.

I started laughing out loud in my car...and of course the 4 year old was not quite as impressed with the gift..'a book'

But being that I am a girlie who loves to read...I usually have about 2-3 books going at the same time.  I can be found in the kitchen at around 5ish...cooking dinner, playing referee, coaching homework, greeting husband, answering the phone, feeding the dog and reading me a book!

So I have read the back cover, the introduction..and I am a few pages into...and I am thinking that I really want to share this journey with you.

I think this gift just might have an agenda...not one planned by the giver of the gift...but rather by my Creator.

So because I need someone to journey with me...cause I am a little nervous of what I might meet...am I truly ready for freedom and guilt free living?

Who knows what could happen...I might just be found in the middle of the shoe section at Macy's eating a 9x13 pan of brownies...with book in hand!

So if you want to join me...I would love it.   Either with the book...or not.

I will be back in a day or two to get us going.

Sounds interesting. I love chocolate and shoes. Can't wear the high ones anymore and, yes, I really enjoyed them. My shoes, handbag had to match my clothes. I remember the first pair of high heels I bought myself after finishing Business School and starting my first job. It was a pair of the prettiest green heels and bag to match (would be ugly to me now). I saved my money and bought them at a real expensive store. Way back then expensive would have been cheap now.

Look forward to the study.

You are hilarious! :) I definitely want to join you...as you read the book AND with a pan of brownies in the shoe department of Macy's. ;)

I so need to learn to lighten up and yet also live a life that is pleasing to God. To walk worthy of my calling without being a GROUCH or a total stiff about it! :)

Love you! Can't wait to read about all that the Father wants to show you...and I'm sure me, too!

If you're like me, 'coincidence' is no longer a word in your vocabulary. Having said that, I'm wondering what God has in mind by sending you a book that would seem tailor-titled for you!

Looking forward to your posts....
